Brioche Knitting

Brioche Knitting is certainly the most intense knitting I have ever learned. I took a 7 hour class from a master, Paula Dockter, and she's from Dexter as well. So here I am, not even halfway done yet, but it is so exciting to be learning something new. It is double sided so each row is knit twice (once with each color) before you turn your work, and if you boo-boo it is definitely an exercise for your brain cells to fix. So here is my progress so far...can you see the leaves?

"Black Widow" Fingerless Gloves


My husband wanted "Black Widow" fingerless gloves. I improvised with Nancy Lindberg's "Fits Like A Glove" pattern and then charted out a Black Widow hourglass. "Bandon", a new pattern from Peargirl Knits

Bandon Hat Pattern
Super soft and full of texture, this has become one of my favorite hats to wear. Cables ripple up between sand patterns to the top where a pattern reminiscent of a sand dollar rests on top.
